A part of a busy main route in Westchester has reopened to traffic after being briefly closed thanks to a downed tree.
Hillside Avenue (Route 100) in Greenburgh at the intersection with Valimar Boulevard reopened at around 4 p.m. after being closed for less than two hours after a tree fell on the roadway, Greenburgh Police said on Friday, April 12.
The department said the road was reopened so fast thanks to "outstanding work" from the Town of Greenburgh Department of Public Works.
